In 2022, we welcomed Tjuvholmen’s first gingerbread exhibition, where the local community, together with gingerbread artist Heidi Sagli Lie, created Tjuvholmen out of gingerbread. Now, we are inviting you to Christmas on the Gingerbread Island for the third year, and we hope YOU will join us!

On that occasion, we have invited the local community and Oslo´s citizens to create gingerbread works inspired by Tjuvholmen’s architecture, art and culture, or food and drink. We have put this together as a free gingerbread exhibition at Olav Selvaag's Plass 4!

We will draw the winner of the best gingerbread creation, who will win a weekend stay at Tjuvholmen with accommodation at The Thief, dinner out, and a visit to the Astrup Fearnley Museum! All visitors vote for their favorite creation, and the winner will be announced before Christmas!

Inside the venue, you’ll also find Bakerina selling holiday cookies and warm drinks to enjoy while you explore the exhibition. Every Thursday and Friday, Bakerina invites you to decorate gingerbread cookies. Gather your friends for a cozy pre-Christmas activity!
