Winemakers Dinner with Domäne Wachau

Sjømagasinet invites you to an exclusive Winemakers Dinner with one of Austria's most renowned wineries on Thursday, April 24th.

Travel back in time to Richard the Lionheart…

Imagine this: The year is 1192. Richard the Lionheart is captured in the Wachau region of Austria while returning from a crusade in Jerusalem. Three months in captivity before the ransom was paid—a story straight out of Robin Hood. But even in captivity, he found joy in the region’s exceptional wines and the grand banquet halls of the local castles.

Now you can experience the same magic…

Sjømagasinet invites you to an exclusive Winemakers Dinner featuring wines from Domäne Wachau, one of Austria’s most renowned wineries—and one of the best cooperatives internationally. Led by the esteemed Roman Horvath MW, Domäne Wachau collaborates with families who have been cultivating grapes in the legendary vineyards of Wachau for generations. But tradition doesn’t hinder innovation—they experiment with techniques such as amphora and granite fermentation!

Evening Menu:

Beet-cured salmon

Yakitori-grilled white and green asparagus with almonds, parsley purée, and anchovies

Seared cod with quinoa salad, fennel marmalade, and lemongrass foam
